Our first connection often starts when a minister has concerns and wants a safe place to discuss warning signs and possible courses of action.
Here are some of the things Unifaith has done:
- Listened to and understood clergy, offering knowledge of similar cases and potential outcomes
- Acted as the clergy's liaison in advocating with United Church officials through J-9 Reviews and other United Church processes
- Supported clergy at provincial Human Rights mediations
- Helped organize and edit extensive documents requires for Reviews and other processes
- Assisted in negotiations for return to work
- Launched a successful pension campaign throughout the United Church to see raises that retirees and actively serving clergy had in more than 10 years
- Held prayer vigils for ministers being unjustly treated and removed by church officials
